Project Summary
Great River Energy and Meeker Energy propose to construct and operate a new 4-mile long 115 kV overhead single circuit transmission line starting at the proposed new switch structure to be constructed at the southeast corner of 140th Street (Meeker-Stearns Street) and 138th Avenue along the existing GRE 115 kV ME-BW transmission line and ending at the proposed Kimball Substation parcel. GRE will own the 4-mile long 115 kV transmission line to and including the last pole structure outside the proposed Kimball Substation, GRE will also own the conductors spanning from the last structure outside the Kimball Substation to the first pole structure inside the Kimball Substation, and some metering equipment within the Kimball Substation. Meeker Energy will own and operate the Kimball Substation, including the first pole structure inside the substation and the conductor span from the first structure to the 115/12.47 kV stepdown transformer. The Kimball Substation will consist of low voltage equipment and control systems to be owned and managed by Meeker Energy
