Sherco Solar 4 and Associated 345 kV Transmission Line Project

Xcel Energy proposes to construct and operate the Sherco Solar 4 Project, an up to 200 megawatt (MW) solar energy generating system and associated facilities (Solar Facility) in Palmer, Haven, and Clear Lake townships in Sherburne County. Xcel also proposes to construct and operate approximately 2.7 miles of single circuit 345 kV transmission line, a new switching station, and two short (approximately 250-foot long) tap lines (Transmission Facility) in Clear Lake Township to connect the Solar Facility to the transmission grid along the future Minnesota Energy Connect transmission line.
