Petroleum Fuels Company (PFC) is proposing to construct a 5,600 foot long natural gas pipeline in Dakota County. The pipeline will transport natural gas from a processing facility near the Pine Bend landfill to an interconnection with the Northern States Power gas system.

Petroleum Fuels Company (PFC) is proposing to construct a 5,600 foot long natural gas pipeline in Dakota County. The pipeline will transport natural gas from a processing facility near the Pine Bend landfill to an interconnection with the Northern States Power gas system.
The pipeline will be 4.5 inches in diameter and will operate at a presssure of approximately 670 pounds per square inch (psi). The project will require a 30 foot easement.
PFC has applied to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission for a pipeline routing permit for the project. PFC received a pipeline routing permit from the Commission on July 7, 2021.
